Tulsa Thursday

It was the kids' spring break week so we wanted to do something fun. We did not make an overnight trip this week because we are going on a few trips between May and August. So we headed about 2 hours west to Tulsa. None of us had ever been before, so it was fun to see a new state. We went and ate at Ted's Cafe Escondido and it did not disappoint. They also serve complimentary cheese dip and sopapillas and both were scrumptious.

After eating lunch we headed to the Oklahoma Aquarium.  We have been to Ripley's Aquarium in TN and we didn't know what to expect. It really was a cute aquarium with several spots for the kids to feed and/or touch different animals. Everyone loved the sharks. We waited around for feeding time, which can I say was a downer. I was expecting large pieces of fish to be tossed and the sharks to fight over their dinner. It was basically a glorified goldfish in a tank experience, but we can at least say we saw it. Everyone had a fun time and slept almost the whole way home. I'd definitely go back to Ted's and this time go to the zoo!
